Broadband for Seniors
Get connected for FREE with your local Broadband for Seniors Internet
kiosk. The kiosk features two computers
with broadband access for use by older members of the community. We also provide training - beginners very
welcome. Kiosk location: Tenterfield
Community Centre, just down from TenFM and across from the Telegraph

Tenterfield over-45s Club
Are you over 45? If you would like to
meet up with people of your own age here's a great idea. Every Thursday afternoon from 1.30pm the
Tenterfield over 45's club invites you to play cards. Transport can be arranged for those without

Tenterfield Mens Shed
Tenterfield Mens Shed is open at the TAFE Barn every Tuesday from 10am to
2pm. Entry to the Men’s Shed is via Wood Street where
parking is available. Tools and materials
donations are most appreciated. Contact

shed is a great location for current or new hobbies or just for a cuppa and a

Mah-jong is played on Monday at 11am til 3pm at the Tenterfield Bowling

Tenterfield Railway Museum
The history of the great northern railway is here, all in one magnificent
building. The railway museum is open 9
to 4 Wednesday to Monday. Open 7 days
during school holidays. The museum is an

Steve's Country Music
Please note that Steve's Country Music has moved from the Scout Hall to the
Presbyterian Hall, Manners Street
(just up from the fire station). Steve's
Country Music is on the first Saturday of every month. The next afternoon of live music and friendly
chat is Saturday 4th February, 1pm – 5pm. Admission $4, includes afternoon tea. Lucky door prize, multi draw raffle, walk-up

Ten FM is extending an invitation for volunteers to get involved with community

Tenterfield Petanque (Pe-Tong) Group Would you like to learn and play the game of Petanque (Pe-Tong)?
Petanque is the French game of Boule which can be played by people of all ages.

Tenterfield Meals on Wheels
This service is provided to frail aged people
with disabilities, Aboriginal and non-English speaking people; special diets
catered for. Meal cost is $6.50 per meal package. Meal deliveries
commence at the hospital from 12 noon Monday to Friday. Please contact

Scammers are still preying on the unwary. Fake Fair Trading calls are being made
claiming to refund money for overcharged bank fees. People are being advised to hang up on any
person claiming to be from the government in relation to refunds of money.

Radio Programme on TenFM:
We have a new radio program: “New Rural” will be starting on TenFM and
Rainbow FM. Thursdays, 10am NSW and 9am
QLD time. Great advice from local vet
Dave Thompson, representatives from “Organic Producer” magazine, current meat
& livestock reports, updates from Australian fire authority and more. It’s about your backyard, it’s on two
stations. It’s a community effort for

Pinkeye
Alert:
Pinkeye is a highly infectious cattle disease and is a
real threat due to rain & warm weather which increase fly numbers. Beef producers and dairy farmers are being
encouraged to use Piliguard to vaccinate young stock against Pinkeye. By vaccinating against Pinkeye this season
primary producers will be also supporting the McGrath Foundation which raises
money to support breast cancer awareness.
Goondiwindi
Council Disaster Kit:
Goondiwindi Regional Council, in consultation with
Emergency Management Queensland, will be distributing a programme of activities
and information which will be mailed to residents over the next few weeks. Other information, additional fact sheets and
brochures relating to disaster management are available on Councils website.
Conservation
Volunteers Wanted:
Local flood recovery projects are still in progress and
volunteers are still wanted in Tenterfield & surrounding areas. Meet at 8am Monday to Friday in front of the
grandstand at the tenterfield showground.
Helpers from 16 to 80 years welcome.
Tasks include clearing flood debris, fencing and planting. Enthusiasm is all that’s needed. Full safety induction, training, gear and
insurance cover. Finish at 4pm each day
at the showground. Sensible clothing and

Art Show:
